Why (on earth) are you doing this?
You might be wondering why I’ve decided to throw four parties in four cities and, yes, build an entire website... just for my 40th birthday.
The short answer is simple: because I can. I have spent years crafting trips and experiences for friends, family, and clients. If I cannot pull off a spectacle for myself after all that training, what have I been doing?
Here are the real reasons
Because I’m turning forty - and I actually want to celebrate it.
Zero dread, just a milestone worth marking properly. I’ve spent my thirties building things - businesses, friendships, memories, confidence - and I want to close that decade with something that feels like me: a little bold and slightly absurd, but full of heart.

Because women deserve more reasons to celebrate.
We make noise for engagements, weddings, and babies but rarely for the quiet victory of carving out a life we like. Aging well is an achievement. We should toast it more often.

Because I love a plan.
I am happiest when I am plotting a trip, setting a table, or luring people across borders for dinner. This birthday gave me permission to combine everything I love - storytelling, travel, logistics, and wine - into one long invitation to gather.

Because travel is my truest language.
The major cities of my thirties - Venice, Bath, and Dublin - each taught me something about who I am. Turin, where it all ends, will be about who I’ve become. Each stop is a curtain call for a different chapter, and a way to thank the people who were part of it.

Because I wanted to do something good.
This isn’t just a celebration; it’s a chance to give back. I created the Four Acts for Good charity raffles to channel all this indulgence and chaos into something useful - supporting small, meaningful charities that quietly keep their cities beautiful, kind, and human.

And because the next time we all gather might be my funeral - and I hate to miss a good party.
So I’m having this one while I’m still here to enjoy it.
